Harry Kane needs to call time on his his career with Tottenham and make the move to Manchester.
That’s the verdict of former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor, who feels the Spurs striker should ‘100 per cent’ join Manchester City unless Manchester United hire a decent manager.
Kane was linked with a move away from Spurs last summer but the north London club refused to sell and reports already suggest both Manchester clubs are monitoring his situation ahead of the summer window.
With Spurs struggling to even finish in the top six this season, Agbonlahor says it’s time the England captain moved on.
‘You’ve got to go. The joke’s over now. He’s given them so much, Harry Kane. This season he’s stayed and they are nowhere near winning a trophy, nowhere near getting top four,’ he told talkSPORT.
“He’s going to be 30 before you know it and be one of those players who should have gone to a big club, but stayed at Spurs.
‘If I was him, I’d 100 per cent go to Man City, that’s if they still want him, though, as Haaland is available in the summer.
‘If Manchester United can get the proper manager in, then go to Manchester United.

‘It’s not Pochettino though, I don’t understand why people keep saying that. Look at the squad of players he’s got at PSG and they are nowhere near the Champions League.
‘I don’t see him coming to Manchester United. No, I don’t rate him.’
Kane is under contract with Spurs until the summer of 2024 and chairman Daniel Levy will likely play hardball again in the transfer window if the forward makes it clear he wants out.
Rangers legend Ally McCoist feels Tottenham’s lack of silverware – their last trophy came in the EFL Cup in 2008 – is enough of a reason to leave.
‘I would be off. I would be going to Man City or Man United,’ he said.
‘I’ve thought about it long and hard, and I hate myself for saying it as I love loyalty and I don’t think there’s enough loyalty in football, but I’m going to contradict that.
‘For his own career, he’s got to move.
‘Do you think he’s got a better chance of winning something at Man United or Spurs?
‘It’s still going to be Manchester United I think, at the moment.
‘Put yourself in Harry Kane’s shoes. He wants to win things and loves scoring goals. Is that going to happen at Spurs?
‘When was the last time Spurs won the league, by the way? Was it back in Bill Nicholson’s time?’
