Winning the Champions League is considered the pinnacle of club football, and that dream is alive and kicking for the 16 clubs left in this season’s competition.
That number will be reduced in half upon the conclusion of the Round of 16, which started on February 14 and will end on March 15.
The teams crashing out at this stage of the Champions League will join the 16 teams who were dumped out in the group stage before Christmas.
Let’s take stock of the teams remaining in the competition and the sides that have been knocked out.
Which teams are still in the Champions League?
The Premier League quartet of Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea are still going strong, having safely navigated their way through the group stage and into the round of 16.
Defending champions Real Madrid are still in the running to win their record-extending 15th European crown, while fellow heavyweights PSG and Bayern Munich are still in the competition.
Napoli have been taking Serie A by storm this year and their domestic performances have been replicated in Europe, leading many to see the Italian outfit as dark horses for the Champions League.
Belgian side Club Brugge have reached the knockout stage for the first time in their history and are now managed by Scott Parker, who joined the club at the end of December.

Which teams have been knocked out of the Champions League?
The group stage saw a number of European powerhouses exit the Champions League early.
Barcelona finished third in Group C behind Bayern Munich and Inter Milan and have dropped into the Europa League, where they will play Manchester United in the play-off.
Juventus could also only manage third spot in Group H, with just one win from their six fixtures sealing a miserable European campaign as they too dropped into the Europa League.
Atletico Madrid have crashed out of European football altogether, finishing rock bottom of Group B.
Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers saw their Champions League adventures last just six games, finishing last in Group F and Group A respectively.
