Mesut Ozil and Arsenal have reached an agreement to terminate his contract, reports claim.
The German World Cup winner has found himself in the cold this season and was left out of Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads.
While he had previously stated he wanted to see out the duration of his Arsenal contract, which expires in the summer, he has now agreed to bring it to a premature end.
He was scheduled to earn around £7million between now and the end of the season but a deal has now been agreed for an early termination, according to the Athletic.
He is set to travel to Turkey this weekend to complete a move to Fenerbahce after striking a deal with them.
